From knowledge
to contribution.
Medical education, public health, research and exchange offer different ways for students to learn and take part.
01 — Medical education
Students have an important voice in the way doctors are trained. EMSA’s medical education activities create opportunities to learn together and reflect on the experience of medical school.
The Standing Committee on Medical Education (SCOME) provides a student-led space for this work.
02 — Public & community health
Understanding health also means engaging with life outside the classroom. The association encourages students to take an interest in public health and participate in community-oriented activities.
Contact EMSA or your local chapter about current activities, volunteer requirements and how you can contribute.
03 — Research & exchange
Research and exchange broaden students’ experience of medicine and the settings in which it is practiced.
04 — Skills & connection
Developing as a medical student includes communication, teamwork and leadership. Engagement with peers, local chapters and the wider medical community supports that development.
